The Old Ship is located in the village of Lower Swanwick, midway between Southampton and Fareham. It’s right in the middle of Swanwick’s conservation area, just a stone’s throw from the Marina.
The Old Ship provides a great base for local exploration, with the River Hamble and Swanwick Marina offering some fantastic walks and views. There’s plenty of natural beauty to discover further afield too, with the Swanwick Lakes Nature Reserve and Holy Hill Park and Gardens also well worth a visit.
Or for something a little different, how about a visit to Bursledon Brickworks Industrial Museum - where you can take a tour of a rare, steam-driven brickworks.
